If you want something you never had, you have to do something you never did before.

Life is like a playground and we all have to perform a certain job at our assigned positions on this ground. Every individual in this world is awarded some talent. Need is to go and search for it. The easy approach to find it is that the task whose accomplishment gives you happiness and which never tires you is your ability. The sooner you find your expertise, the easier for you to fix your goal. You can use a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities, threats) to find your goal.

Make plans and sub-plans:

“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”

― Antoine de Saint-Exupery

So, now after discovering the goal, the next step is to create a plan of goal tracking. No goal can be achieved without a plan. Make a written comprehensive plan of target achievement.

If you look at your goal and think that it is too big to complete. Don’t get worried. The next step is chunking it down into small pieces. Accomplish these short-term goals. Eventually, the main goal will make its way. Short term goals will keep you active always. You will always find something to do on daily basis.

Find motivation:

Search for successful individuals who had the same goal as that of yours. Read their journey of success. This will be a great motivation for you. This may also give you some new ideas and tips regarding your plan.

Walt Disney said, “If you dream it, you can do it. We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.”

Make your goal journey easy and fun-filled:

Find easy ways to solve an issue or perform a task. Don’t burden up yourself with heavy work. And remember whatever you do, do it with love. Love will add pleasantness to your task and you will keep on moving without getting bored or tired. Trying new approaches, new strategies may keep you active and indulged. Try some new things for fun.

Be optimistic:

Keep on reading the stories of successful persons in the world. Keep yourself in-touch with optimistic people to get positive energy. Stay tuned with motivational lectures. Say these words to yourself daily: Yes, you and only you can do it, my dear. Keeping an eye on the finished short-term goals will bring positive energy to you and you may hope for the best in the future.

Stay committed:

The journey towards the goal is important. If you stay committed and keep on achieving your short-term goals, the target will make its way. Remember, the journey of success is always slow. Never take long and high jumps. Take small steps but move steadily.

“The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.” Vince Lombardi

Make a team:

If you cannot achieve your goal alone, make a team of people who have the same goal as that of yours. Find smart people around you who take you with them and you take them with you. This is very important. Michael Jordan says:

“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.”

Ignore criticism:

If people around you are criticizing you, let them do their job. You do your job. We cannot change the behavior of others. What we can do is to evade their comments and keep on moving towards our goal. If you allow others to de-track you, they will. Set the boundaries and don’t let others interfere in your personal space. Surpass the negative people and stay in touch with positive friends.

“Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”

– Aristotle

Never give up:

It Always Seems Impossible Until It’s done.

If some things are not going the way you want, just change your approach. Change your strategy and try a new plan. There is always a solution to a problem. Focus on your goal and don’t limit the approaches to find the goals. You may choose different paths to reach a particular address. The thing that matters in the end is either you reached the goal or not. Take motivation from the athlete who plays till the last second of the match even if he is losing. You have to battle until the end. So, don’t surrender in front of obstacles.

Checkpoints to track your reminders:

After starting the journey, it is very important to track success. Keep on checking how much you have done and how much is left behind. This will keep you aroused if know your weekly and monthly attainments. And it will not let you reduce speed if you keep an eye on what is left behind. Make reminders. Paste the reminders in front of your eyes. Set alarms for you.

Reward yourself:

Every time you reach a certain goal, even it is the main goal or the small success in the pathway, you need to reward yourself. It is very important. Remember if you are alone in the track of your goal, no one will come to reward you. So get up, take a break. You deserve it. Take a cup of tea or coffee or any of your favorite drinks. Take your most wanted snack and pat yourself that you have done so much.

Inference:

I shall wind it up by saying:

What you want to do, do it now or never.

Having a goal in life is good. But the important thing is tracking it intellectually. Motivation starts with-in. Listen to your heart and set your goal according to your aptitude. The journey of goal-tracking will keep you mobile and productive.
